I needed a small unit for my Jet ski. This unit was perfect. I have had it for about 8 months and the unit works great. A buddy saw mine and bought one for his boat and we have never had an issue with his either. He is 81 years old and he can operate it and so can you. It is a small unit so most of the items are in menus, but take your time and sit down with the book and you will be running it in no time.This thing is a great sonar and the GPS is top notch. Saving waypoints is a breeze, as well as navigation. The sonar works as well as my HD gen 2 at finding fish and includes some really great features like fish ID that makes using it simple for everyone. I did not get the DSI version but I have it on my bigger unit and I promise you will not be disappointed if you elect to go that way.I have recommend this to my friends and I will again.My name is Ron and I approved this message

I purchased one of these units a few weeks ago Elite -4 and could not wait to get it returned back to the dealer . The instructions do not make any sense and are very difficult to follow. The unit does not respond well when the buttons are pushed it seems to get confused and locks up. I got quite a scare when we took it out just a few miles off shore and a fog rolled in and the unit locked up and we could not use the GPS to get home . Thank goodness I had my handheld (competitor unit) and were able to navigate back to the marina very slowly with out incident. I have tried using Lowrance a couple times but they never seem to perform like thier competitors.sorry

For something as good a product as this, when it come to answers tech support is not much help. The depth finder does not work nor does support. They never offered to have me return the unit for an exchange or refund, only ideas or suggestion that never worked
